TRILIGHT - an interactive light installation with philosophical soundtrack. What connects culture, technology and nature? In the vision of designer Paul van Laar, light becomes a connecting, shaping and organizing element. Inspired by this vision, the LUMODO team, consisting of a quartet of design, communication, engineering and software development, created TRILIGHT: A symbiosis of organic and molecular structures with digital technology. Large geometric shapes interact with flowing, pulsating light movements. In front of the panorama of Frankfurt’s skyline, a mystical, surreal space is created.
Accompanied by the voice of the actor Gabriel von Berlepsch and the text of the philosopher Manuel Scheidegger from Argumented Reality, visitors can immerse themselves in the reflections of TRIGLIGHT and interact with it via a panel.
The core of the installation is the tensegrity structure: it consists of individual bar elements that are held together exclusively by tension elements (in this case steel cables) without the individual bar elements touching each other. This creates the impression of a floating installation. The interconnected thinking of Tensegrity stands at the same time for sustainability and an ecologically justifiable and long-term realization: all elements and materials can be used for further applications after the Luminale.
The LUMODO team consists of Paul van Laar, Sebastian Peter, Paul Weber and Max Nowack. The quartet of design, communication, engineering and software development wants to make current topics vivid with interactive light installations. In this project they work together with the philosopher Manuel Scheidegger from Argumented Reality and the actor Gabriel von Berlepsch.
