Willi Bücking, Malte Kropp
The “Schuh-bidu” is a collaborative, digital musical instrument. In essence a pressure-sensitive floor, it generates sounds and images from the visitors’ positions and movements. Thus transforming the room into a concert hall, where the boundary between performer and listener is removed and the sensual impression is completed by reactive projections on the walls.

The two artists Malte Kropp and Willi Bücking are studying Time-based Media at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz. Their main areas of study are motion design, sound design and building interactive installations. They have been regularly collaborating on joint projects since the spring of 2019.
