At first glance, the Mainfeld in Niederrad appears to be a normal high-rise building – but on closer inspection, it is clearly so much more.
Not far from chic, glossy, downtown Frankfurt, many people live in a very confined space in the Mainfeld, where children and adolescents grow up in a special microcosm. Like their peers, who live in single-family homes, they are always in search of identity.
Professionally-staged, at times anonymously, at others not, the Mainfeld_speaks project gives young people a chance to be heard: with their individual messages, their hopes and dreams. Aimed at Frankfurt, which is their city, too – “Mainfeld_speaks”
The Quartiersmanagement, commissioned by the City of Frankfurt and the municipal Active Neighborhood Program, promotes social urban development. (Art-) projects in the public space show appreciation for the residents and provide essential experiences in self-effectiveness.
