Kinder- und Familienzentrum Innenstadt, Nadine Sobolewski
Under the motto "Run for more light", for the first time, the opening of the Luminale will be celebrated with a festive parade through the city centre. Participants will go on an exciting journey of discovery through the darkness as a shining procession of lights. The night ramble will take us along the Eschenheimer Anlage, past impressive festival attractions, to the grand spectacle at the Alte Oper.
This offers the opportunity for visitors (children and adults) to not only experience the Luminale, but take an active part in it. As they themselves become a walking light object, dressed as light figures in an illuminated costume (with everything that shines and twinkles). Visitors are cordially invited to actively join the parade. (However, please refrain from using naked flames.) Following an invigorating pasta party and unveiling of the installation "In Marmorial", the guided tour will begin (around 8 pm).

The concept of the project will be assumed by artist Nadine Sobolewski. The Inner-City Children and Family Center run by the charitable organisation Diakonisches Werk for Frankfurt and Offenbach, will implement the project together with children and families of the institution. Also involved is a network of care facilities of the city of Frankfurt and the Caritasverband Frankfurt e.V., together with the Wohnhaus Bleichstr. 12, children’s home of the St. Katharinen- und Weißfrauenstift.
