Kinder- und Familienzentrum Innenstadt, Nadine Sobolewski
During the Luminale, the centerpiece of the Kinderhaus will be illuminated. Together with the artist and art pedagogue, Nadine Sobolewski, children, families, employees, cooperation partners, as well as users and friends of the children's and family center will embellish the tower’s three-story stairwell in fluorescent colors. In the interplay of color, material and light, windows become a canvas, light becomes color and architecture becomes a monumental sculpture. Like a lighthouse, the installation in the Eschenheimer Anlage can be seen from afar. Mystical and sacred, the round tower rises from the darkness, transformed into a vivid play of colors.
For many, the child-friendly monument may awaken memories of neo-romantic ideals of a lost childhood, allowing viewers to oscillate between the production process and the exhibition venue in an examination of the phenomena of childhood, pedagogy, alienation, religion, culture and art. With "In Marmorial", the institution presents itself as colorfully, as lively and as diverse as those who shape it, the city of Frankfurt and, last but not least, the Luminale.
Visitors are cordially invited to visit the multi-storey outdoor installation after dusk. From time to time, those involved in the project will offer access to the area, allowing visitors to take a closer look.
