Photographers' digital archives are filled with images they have created by drawing with light – seldom are many of them shown to the public. We plan to change all that and present the works to a broad section of the public.
Anyone who finds a photograph that they particularly like may take it with them – but in return, we would like to find out what appeals to them about this particular photograph, why they want to take this one instead of another. This feedback can be expressed in either a single word or a succinct phrase.
Copies of those pictures, hanging with the motif turned away from the viewer, are then flipped over and made visible. Thus, a constantly changing show of the impressions from the photographic archives is created – together with text collection full of thoughts about what photography moves the observer. Thus, everyone has his or her own personal memory of the Luminale at Offenbach main station.
The number of works presented is limited, so those who would like to secure their memory, should come by early.
The other projects in the Hauptbahnhof Offenbach:
new-camera e.V. was founded in January 2006. Our work is mainly in the area of digital technology, with photography very much in the foreground, in an artistic and technical respect. Since the beginning, we have made it our task to introduce the public to the art of photography, both as viewer, as well as guest or active photographer in the course of our association activities.
